If you are experiencing symptoms like a fever, cough, and shortness of breath we ask that you reschedule your appointment.
For Mild symptoms:
- The CDC and state health authorities recommend you stay home for at least 24 hours and until you feel completely well. If your symptoms worsen, please go your nearest emergency room (it is recommended that you call ahead).
For severe symptoms:
- If you develop more severe symptoms, like shortness of breath, high fever, or changes in consciousness, we recommend you go to your nearest emergency room or call 911.
Remember, good hygiene helps prevent the spread of viruses in the community.

- Cover your coughs and sneeze.

Northwest Gastroenterology Clinic has been providing quality care for over 30 years and is the premier gastroenterology practice in Northwest Portland. Our practice consists of 14 board-certified gastroenterologists and three advanced practice clinicians.
All of the providers are highly trained and have expertise in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders such as constipation, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, chronic liver disease, and colon cancer. In addition, NWGC physicians have extensive experience in performing gastrointestinal procedures including Colonoscopy, Upper Endoscopy, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography, Video Capsule Endoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, and Esophageal Manometry.
